The Spiritual Core of D’Orsay

Born in 1801 in France, Alfred D’Orsay was more than a celebrated dandy and whimsical aesthete. He was an artist, a visionary, and a pioneer of his time.

To him, perfume was more than fragrance. It was a language of emotion, an artistic echo of his love for objects, travels, and fleeting moments.

Perfumes Born From A Heartbeat

Our first perfume was born from a heartbeat. In 1821, Alfred D’Orsay encountered Lady Marguerite Blessington.

He was 20, she was 32. Paris and London. Despite the difference and the boundaries of society, they fell deeply and irreversibly in love.

To honor their bond, he created a scent they could both wear; a fragrance without a label, in a small bottle decorated with a piece of blue ribbon. It was in 1830, our perfume house is born.

Nearly 200 years later, Amélie Huynh continues this legacy, exploring love in all its forms, from tenderness to desire, and expressing intimacy through the art of perfume.

Imagining fragrances designed and crafted in France by the finest perfumers. Built around a key ingredient pushed to captivate, or awaken desire. Each creation bears the name of a fragment of a love message and is signed with enigmatic initials, leaving room for imagination.
